Voluntary Annual Contribution

Voluntary contributions are essential to the operation of our school, accounting for nearly a quarter of Powerscourt National School’s annual income. The cost of educating each child at Powerscourt National School is made possible through government grants and your volunteer contribution along with the generous gifts of friends  and the tireless work of the teachers and Parent Teacher Team working together.

The voluntary contribution generates crucial funds to help cover costs beyond government funding and grants, including:

  • Essential school expenses such as classroom materials, IT resources, cleaning, and equipment.

  • Enhancements to the learning experience.

  • Additional Special Education Teaching (SET) support.

Making voluntary contributions is a vital part of maintaining and improving our school’s facilities and educational offerings.

You can make your contribution via:

  • Aladdin App: A payment link is now available, allowing you to contribute in full or in instalments at your convenience.

  • Bank Transfer: For contributions in excess of €295 or if you would prefer not to use Aladdin. Name: Powerscourt National School IBAN: IE11 AIBK 9333 9227 8870 98

We are keen to make the most out of every Euro received. As a registered charity, the school can reclaim tax on contributions of €250 or more through the Revenue Charity Scheme. To enable us to claim this benefit, and your contribution is €250 or above, please complete Revenue's CHY 4 Annual certificate form and return it to the school office or by email to office@powerscourtns.ie.
Completion of the form provides tax relief in respect of charitable donations by self-assessed or PAYE taxpayers. This tax relief is provided to the school grossed up at the rate of 31%.

Further information is available on the Revenue website located here.
